Payment logos are an important visual signal that helps users quickly understand which payment options are available and trustworthy. To make these options easy to recognise before paying, Evonet provides a set of payment logos that you can display directly on your checkout page.

Logo usage guidelines for payment options

Depending on the context and product, we recommend different logo formats so payment options fit neatly in the UI while remaining easy for users to recognise.

Using symbol marks in compact layouts

When you need to display several payment logos inside a small rectangular area, we suggest using the symbol mark instead of the full logotype. This keeps the layout clean and ensures each brand is still legible at smaller sizes.

Using horizontal logos for single payment brands

When there is only one payment brand within a single payment option, we recommend using the horizontal logo wherever the checkout layout allows. This provides maximum brand recognition and aligns well with typical payment button proportions.

Payment Symbol Mark & Logo Usage Guidelines

To ensure a seamless checkout experience, it is crucial that the correct payment symbol marks are used. These combined image symbols help customers instantly identify their preferred payment method at the checkout entry point. Please use the appropriate symbol mark based on the specific payment capabilities configured for the merchant.

1. International Cards (Visa + Mastercard Only)

• Symbol Concept: A combined logo featuring Visa and Mastercard side-by-side.
• When to Use: Use this entry point when the merchant only supports Visa and Mastercard transactions.
• Customer Expectation: The customer expects that only Visa and Mastercard are accepted here.

2. International Cards (Visa + Mastercard + More)

• Symbol Concept: A combined logo featuring Visa and Mastercard, plus a visual indicator for additional brands (e.g., a "+ More" tag or a generic card stack icon behind them).
• When to Use: Use this entry point when the merchant supports Visa, Mastercard, and other international card schemes (e.g., AMEX, JCB, Discover, Diners Club).
• Customer Expectation: The customer expects they can use Visa, Mastercard, or other card brands not explicitly shown in the main logo.

3. Convenience Store Payment

• Symbol Concept: A combined logo displaying major convenience store brand marks or a universally recognized "Convenience Store" icon.
• When to Use: Use this entry point when the customer can pay via multiple local convenience store chains.
• Customer Expectation: The customer expects to click this to generate a payment code/slip usable at various supported convenience stores.

4. Alternative / Other Payment Methods

• Symbol Concept: A generic, abstract payment symbol (e.g., a wallet or a generic gear/ellipses icon) labeled clearly as "Other Methods".
• When to Use: Use this entry point when the customer wants to pay using local or alternative methods not already explicitly displayed on the main checkout page.
• Customer Expectation: The customer expects to find niche, regional, or less common payment methods that weren't highlighted in the primary list.

5. All Payment Methods (The Gateway Hub)

• Symbol Concept: An omnibus symbol that visually aggregates cards, wallets, and local methods, or a clean "View All Payment Methods" button/icon.
• When to Use: Use this entry point to direct customers to a comprehensive payment selection page. This page contains everything—both the primary methods shown on the main page and all other backend-supported methods.
• Customer Expectation: The customer expects to be taken to a dedicated page where every single available payment method is listed for them to choose from.

Best Practices for Implementation UX Note:

• Consistency: Ensure the scaling and padding of the combined logos match your site's standard UI components.
• Accessibility: Always include alt text for these symbol marks (e.g., alt="Pay with Visa, Mastercard, or other major cards") so screen readers can accurately describe the entry point to visually impaired users.
